I first saw this in our Denver Post “Empire Magazine” which was a Sunday only insert. The Denver Post Empire always included some special feature of Colorado, often about railroads, and alway something about Colorado history. I enjoyed them especially as a kid, and miss what has become a non-existent form of newspaper writing. One issue authored by Walter Borneman (sp?) covered the history of D&RGW’s route over Marshall Pass. I recently tried to purchase Empire back issues but they are hard to find. I bought a box of them from a lady in Brighton, but she told me they had been picked over by people looking for certain issues. Thanks for posting. Nice memory.
