I know its not anywhere near local, but there are some 22" wheel sets for sale in Maine on ebay. They are 42" gauge, but I suppose with new axles could be regauged. Come with roller bearing journals. While not the ideal, the starting bid is $700 for four wheel sets. Even with shipping that's not a terrible price.

I am still thinking over the pedestals available from Danbury. Went over measurements last night. A little bigger than I'd like, but could work. Tough call.
