There was a fair amount of D&RG in and around Kokomo until 1910. The D&RG shipped coal from Crested Butte to the smelter there until 1925. In the 1890s and early 1900s, the D&RG would often haul c&S cars out of Kokomo when the C&S high line and line to Como was blocked with snow. The D&RG had an easier time keeping their line to Dillion open than the C&S. The D&RG rotary snow plow would plow the C&S tracks in Kokomo and even plowed the C&S high line back to Leadville a couple of times.
Too bad it did not last longer.
