At a little after 1:30PM today (4-7-08), legendary Colorado photographer and historian Richard H. Kindig passed away peacefully at Lutheran Exempla Hospice in Wheatridge, CO. He was 92 years of age. Rich had been unable to walk for over five years, and recently developed several other substantial health problems. He entered a nursing home in early January, living there for about three months. He was only in the hospice for a little over a day. At his request, there will be no services. He will be interred at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Englewood, CO. He is survived by his sister Norma Holder, her husband Bert, and a group of nieces and nephews. He was preceeded in death by his parents and a brother.
