In the pictures it looks like the line shafts are still connected to the crankshaft. Is there any risk of damage to these components when moving a locomotive such as a shay which hasn't seen service in a number of years?

Also, how long will #8 sit there? Is the plan to keep her there indefinitely? Since there is no hope of running her on the GTL again, where else could she go?

Lastly, will she be protected from vandalism? She was pretty secure in G-town since few saw her in her hiding spot, but now it appears she is out in the open and a great target for those with nothing better to do but damage historic equipment.
