Jerry, I knew you were "just pulling my chain".

One other thing I found interesting about the card was that on July 1, 1941, Mike Delgado says that he thinks that "this line will probably not be abandoned". It seems that this long-time employee on the Santa Fe branch was in denial about the possibility that the line would shut down. Of course, just two months after he made that statement, the last run was made and the branch was scrapped soon thereafter.
