Re: Any updates from the Sumpter Valley Folks?

Winter is usually our off period for reporting, but that doesn't mean we are not busy. Business car number 100 is getting work done, with most of her seats back together and ready to be recovered. The ceiling is underway, and a lot of other smaller jobs to get the car ready for regular service for the 2008 season. As for the RPO, we're looking into funding to restore her as an ADA accessible car. Luckily the doorways are wide enough that they will not need to be modified. She'll take a lot of work, but we're ready to get started as soon as we can. She should come out of the shops looking quite original outwardly, but will likely have some minor modifications to make her a more useful piece of equipment. Probably the main modification will be the instillation of a restroom and we're looking into installing a door in each end to make it a pass-through car. Don't worry though, we plan to build the doors in a way that when they are closed you'll wonder why there is a doorknob sticking out of a wall.

Also, the website will hopefully be updated soon, I've got about a hundred photos already sent to our webmaster, with fifty more ready to go. Weather conditions have caused some delays though.
