I agree with Casey; those ALCO mikes are especially handsome (not that I think any of the other nominees are ugly!). My second choice would be the Baldwin outside-frame 2-8-2s built for the IRCA in Guatemala. I am probably prejudiced here since I saw them in action in 1971 when the railroad was called FEGUA (Ferrocarriles de Guatemala); it was my first trip abroad, and the exotic location and the appeal of a nearly 100% steam powered narrow-gauge railroad left an indelible mark on my impressionable mind. I can still hear the hoot of a three-chime whistle in the twilight. And I still think they are good looking; about the size of a K-28, kind of like a more graceful K-36 in appearance. They would look right at home in Colorado (or Chama).
