10:45 AM Train 115 (McHolland), engine 472 (Allbee 20), arrives, 4 cars. Departs at 10:58 AM (18 min. late).

12:30 PM Extra east 484 (Coughlin 25) arrives, 1 load, 13 empties, 235 tons, caboose 0517 (Morgan).

3:50 PM Train 116 (Pollard), engine 477 (Allbee), arrives, 5 cars. Departs at 3:53 PM (13 min. late).

4:05 PM Extra east 484 departs, 27 loads, 16 empties, 1036 tons, caboose 0517.

Only through trains between Alamosa and Durango were No. 115 and No. 116.

Departed Alamosa 7:10 AM with 6 cars. 2 cars set out Antonito.

"5:40 PM section foreman Big Horn calls to say No. 116 at MP 295 stuck, snowing and blowing, section foreman and men to dig train out."

Held at Cumbres to let 116 pass, account flange conditions. Flag ahead 116, account 116 stuck snow.
Crew released 6:40 PM to 1:40 AM 2/17. Engineer Caldwell, who was deadheading, watched engine.

Noted on train sheet:
Rotary arrived MP 295 at 2:50 AM. Shoveled out engine 477 and coaches and got 116 moving at 5:10 AM. All cuts between Lava and MP 295 drifted full and very hard. Let 116 out of Lava 5:30 AM, then returned to MP 296 (to clear road for extra 484), arrived 7:20 AM, delayed 1 hour thawing out Lava tank and getting water. Began snowing hard at 7:00 AM, not much wind. (TEP)? or (SEP)? (Probably F. E. Peake, a trainmaster.)
Rotary arrived Antonito 8:15 AM. Departed Antonito 8:55 AM. Arrived Palmilla 9:50 AM.
