This engine reminds me of a Bert & I story from down eastern maine.

A boat builder on the coast of maine is starting his weekend early with a bottle of moonshine, when the local priest and mayor come into his shop, and he quickly hides the booze.

"Well, it seems the undertaker passed away last night, and there is nobody to make the coffin, could you help?" He readily agrees, and works through the night, and the next morning delivers the coffin, but it has a
tiller and a keel.
