I refer to my previous post, but the bottom line is $$.. If you could get a cost estimate to get it ready in the fall and also have two steamers ready (in mothballed state for running), then run that up a flagpoll. See what groups are willing to fund it for a 2-4 day run, sell tickets, etc to pay the railroad. My guess it would be in the $60,000 - $80,000 range, so it would take a large number of people (300+) willing to pay $250 each plus or minus to make it happen.


One alternative might be to add a dead in tow run for a day on the Chama steam weekends, as they seem to have some pull. Again, money talks.
