Santa Fe Line is Opened, Trains to Be Run Saturday.

The snow blockade between Alamosa and Santa Fe which halted a southbound train Thursday and disrupted all rail traffic between the two cities was broken at 7.10 o’clock Friday night, according to telegraphic information received here by W.S. Graham, chief dispatcher for the D&RGW RR.

Two engines and a rotary snowplow left here for the Santa Fe branch Friday afternoon and succeeded in opening the line by evening. The passenger train for Santa Fe will be run as usual Saturday morning.
The rotary was to be sent over Cumbres Pass to Chama Saturday morning about 3.30 o’clock to break the snow blockade and permit resumption of train service between here and Durango. Information received by Graham Friday night indicated that the storm was subsiding, and the passenger train for Durango was to leave Saturday morning at 8.30, slightly later than its usual tune, to give the rotary sufficient time to precede it over the pass.
