Ed,

I worked for Country Hardware ( True Value ) in Granby ,Colorado. A great place in the late 1980's. The store has changed hands now, don't know if the furnace is still coal fired. Lots of memories of dealing with that old furnace. Covered with coal dust and smelling of coal smoke after fueling up . Ha Ha. They had a supplier that hauled it in for them in the fall. Dirty job to get it into the bin. Couldn't see a thing when you were in there and it was coming in. Had to make sure it was evenly moved around in the bin, or it wouldn't all go in. When we were done, it was within two feet of the ceiling, very claustrophobic working in there. You looked like you came off shift in a coal mine. 60 tons would last us the winter .
