I carried on a somewhat regular correspondence with him via letter and cassette-tape Morse telegraph up until about 2-3 years ago.

His wife passed on then and he began to fade away right afterward. Haven't heard anything for sure since...believe he is in a rest home somewhere in the ABQ area.

I now give him the courtesy of peace and quiet. He was a most interesting man to correspond with, and had a vast knowledge of many things about narrow gauge railroading, plus a lot of other stuff.
