Hi, Ed -
Your "green" version is, IMHO, much better looking than the "red" version, although I must agree with another who has posted here that it might look better if the headlight were moved forward a bit and the dynamo mounted in front of the stack. My own preference would be for a slightly darker shade of green, and for the wood to be stained quite a bit darker, but I realize you are between the proverbial 'rock and a hard place'. Better to compromise a bit than have the whole concept shot down.
If you are trying for a "company" look, try matching the colors currently used on your 2-6-2's boiler and cab (NOT the red drivers) and come up with a standard font (or logo) for the cab and tender lettering.

p.s. I will attempt to copy the above comments to your blog - if it doesn't show up in the next hour or so, please feel free to copy it yourself.
pps. BOTH my attempts to post on the blog site succeeded (there was an error message after the first attempt, but it posted anyway ... ) So, do my comments count twice? Please say "Hi!" to Brad and Jeff for me.
(Per Brad, my prints of your 2005 railfest were well recieved by Mr. Rossi; hopefully my comments will help, too.)
