Thanks. That explains a lot about the industrial loco. Since the 1st post, I found that this unit was built in 1959 for ASARCO's Baltimore copper refinery. I think that refinery was built about 1905 and shut down in 1975. How the loco got to So. Cal. is a mystery. It's now on display at the Laws Railroad Museum. There is a photo posted at the Railcritter forum. You do have to join that group to see it.
