For obvious reasons, we call it a manifold instead of what you called it. My uncle survived a rollover of a 3800 on the Santa Fe. Fortunately,he was thrown from the cab and the engineer was badly injured,but survived and worked until his retirement about 15 years later as far as I can remember.
