During its time in San Antonio, the American Freedom Train was displayed on the grounds of the Lone Star brewery. IIRC, we were on the road all night and finally got the train tied down around nine or ten a.m. The VERY hospitable staff at the brewery recognized how exhausted and grimy the engine crew was, and offered us use of the employee locker room and shower to clean up. While five or six of us were in the huge gang shower, two hands poked through the curtains with beers for each of us. It's pretty hard to beat a hot shower and a cold beer after working all night!
