John West proclaimed himself "El Curmudgeon del Norte", Tom Gildersleeve is "El Curmudgeon del Sur", and since I am a teeny bit younger and not yet quite as crusty they named me "El Curmudgeonito" when we started working on Volume 1 of the "Help Save #483" screen saver a couple of years ago. I have since grown into the title "El Curmudgeono Verde" (the Green Curmudgeon, aka 'The Grinch') and have passed the title "El Curmudgeonito" on to John Craft as he is much younger than the rest of us. Scott Turner is the No-Nonsense Curmudgeon, and Roger Hogan is also one of us. We would all lose our titles if we compromised on anything other than which photos to include in the Screen Savers. (Volume 2 is still 'under construction'.)

For something as critical to the survival of the planet as the color of the boiler jacket on one small steam locomotive, the possibility of compromise is nill. Besides, as someone else has pointed out, the argument discussion has been keeping a lot of folks warm this winter while things are quiet at the Loop-de-Loop.
