Craig,
I used terraserver to find the USGS topo zoomed in on Little Molas Lake, by requesting the location Molas Pass on its search engine. Neither Little Molas, or Andrew's Lake show the desired features on the Topo. However, the site offers the aerial view also, and these are more interesting by far. The Little Molas Lake could be the site if the body of water in the foreground of the drumhead is of a shallow wetland spot that seasonally floods.
The Andrew's Lake site actually shows a little body of water almost like a residue of a drainage area entering the lake from the north, north-east. Looks like the lake shore contour keeps the lake and this small body of water separate. Evergreens are abundant on the near south shore of the lake. I'd strongly recommend a look for yourself. Remember, once in terraserver I searched on Molas Lake. Once at the Molas Pass site I could view either the topo or the aerial. Use the LARGE setting if possible, and zoom in!
