Hi to all;
I am a newbie to your group, and sincerly enjoying it. This is a fine forum to say the least, and it seems there's a great bunch of folks here. Being here on the East coast "mid Atlantic region" I don't get to see much Narrow gauge, but I enjoy to no end the character and ambiance of it.
I have 31 years as an Engineer on the 56-1/2" gauge, I would have liked to have spent that out west on the 36".
I have learned a lot browsing here for a couple days. I am in 2-1/2" scale narrow gauge modeling and scratch building a 2-1/2" scale 36" narrow gauge 2-8-0 it's close to the point of finishing for operation.
I would like to know something about the 36" narrow gauge line the S.P. RR. once operated? Any information on this line would be most welcome.
I believe they had used one or more Baldwin 36" narrow gauge 2-8-0's of the type I'm building. Though I chose to model it. I have very little information on it.
Thanks...
