Not that I'm a Civil Engineer or anything, but the fill slope always seems "steep". I'm suprised it hasn't washed out completely with snow melt.
I wonder what it would cost to just fill in the loop interior and then line the exterior with PaveStone blocks. I think they have an Albuquerque plant -- the interlocking blocks make an attractive wall that's got serious engineering stabilization features.
The cool thing is with a level loop interior, you could put a small park/outdoor banquet area in the center of the loop and do music or other shows outside while still feeding people inside.
