Hats off to Marvin, Sam, Ronnie, Carlos, Angelo, and the others who did a fine job refurbishing the cars. I was aboard the "Quinlan" when Marv pulled it out of the Antonito shop, and the woodwork fairly glowed when the sun hit it. All weekend long people were commenting on the quality work (even a professional woodworker), and the experience.
Attendants Clara, Raisa, and Bobbie did great figuring out a brand new job on opening day, and everyone I talked to enjoyed it.
When you come to the C&TS, there are two things you gotta do to get the whole experience:
a) ride the whole route, not just to Osier and back.
b) ride in the Parlour Cars.
