#463 is the oldest engine on the C&TS, but #483 was the first engine used on the C&TS, and is therefor very important in the history of the C&TS (as opposed the history of the D&GRW, although she was also one of the most-used engines in the 1960's and was the last D&RGW engine over Cumbres.)

I have a copy of Sam's book, and agree that it is excellent. It's obvious that he has a great love of the C&TS. Do you think he might be interested in helping with #483 once #463 is done?
