I've posted many of the same photos as Boerries, however these are a larger format (and therfore take a llooooonnnnnggggg time to download). They were taken on April 7, 2001 between White Pass at the Alaska - British Columbia border and Fraser British Columbia. White Pass rotary #1 built in 1899 is being pushed by WP&YR #73 (Baldwin 2-8-2 built 1947) and WP&YR #40 (leased from Georgetown Loop RR Baldwin 2-8-0 built 1920 for International Railways of Central America). The caboose is WP&YR #909 which was set up for Rotary plow service and had flangers built into the rear truck to facilitate backing through the drifts that formed in cuts behind the plow train during the severe storms that plagued the WP&YR.
