I've always wanted to add fixed images to the site, but images slow things down, especially for people with dialup. Putting them at the bottom helps get around that (at least I think it should), it's sorta fun, and adds a little interest. It also points out that, while our main focus is on the narrow gauge, anything related to steam is welcome - screw the gauge.
