Well, I dont like the current sound systems, they are too digitized in sound, and not very controllable. My dad had a pfm sound system on his sn3 layout and with that you could blow any wistle you wanted, add steam to the chuff, cutoff the chuff, ring the bell when you wanted, it was virtually capable of doing anything you wanted. I like that, and like you I dont like how limited the products are today.

In large scale, I also have the room to put a larger decoder for the sound also.
