I'm sorry that I don't have more info. My friend had been contracted some months back to do boiler work on that locomotive and got called again for this job. He did say that "Dirty Harry" came over & asked him a couple of questions about the 2.
I have no familiarity with the San Jac branch, but have been told that it has some good grades. Someone on another forum said that the consist most likely included a working diesel(s).
