Hi, John -
As always, your photos are fantastic! Thanks for sharing!!
- El Curmudgeonito
p.s. Per "Southern Pacific Narrow Gauge" by Mallory Hope Farrell, 'After riding through desert heat from Mound House to Hawley, Mills is quoted by both Kneiss and Beebe as turning to his companions and saying: "Gentlemen, either we built this line
300 miles too long or
300 years too soon." '
pps. This nitpicking is posted in the sincere hope that it will qualify me as a full-blown curmudgeon: "El Curmudgeono Loco". John Craft, although a mere whippersnapper in comparison to ourselves and Tom G., has expressed a sincere interest in curmudgeonship. Due to his excessive youthfulness (in spite of the see-gar
shown in his ava-tar), I am willing to pass along the title "El Curmugeonito" to him, provided he is acceptable to the original "five old farts" - Tom, John, Russ, Roger and Ernie - and the official middle-aged sixth curmudgeon, Scott Turner.
