Ed & Skip -

Thanks, youse guys, for your support.  But where are the Smothers Brothers, Will Rogers &
Teddy Roosevelt now that the Loop - and our Country - really need them?

I'm looking forward to our first hearsal* together.  Is there a suitable venue in Georgianatown,
or should we meet in the lobby of the Shadrack Hotel in Chama? If the DRHS does run #315
in February, maybe we should meet in Durango!

p.s. How do you like my new (October only) avatars?   Acadiana - Teresa Russell's cajun band that I'm an official groupie with - was playing at the local pumpkin patch during the time I was bald from chemo several years ago, so my daughter got some orange Hallowe'en makeup and helped me take advantage of the situation.   At one point in the afternoon, two young teenage girls were eating slices of pumpkin pie while listening to the band. Between numbers, I walked up to them and said, choking back tears,
"You ...  You ...  CANNIBALS!   (sniff)   ...   That ...   That ...   That was my BROTHER!"

They almost dropped their plates!

+++++

Later in the week, I got a battery-powered lightbulb from a novelty store, soldered a wire to it so that I could ignite it by biting down, and with very little additional makeup - other than a gray pillow-stuffed sweater - won the costume contest at a local wine bar ...     eye popping smiley

* Only the first practice is a hearsal; after that they're RE-hearsals.
