Neat stuff reported. One thing to ponder: Outbound trains (from Durango) to both Silverton and Farmington are "westbound" by timetable. I once had access to a call book from 1952. It showed crews being called for "Extra East", "Farmington" and "Silverton" to avoid confusion with westbounds going in to physical directions.
To further muddy the waters: A Farmington train leaves DGO headed east by timetable then heads west from Carbon Jct to Farmington.
