Actually, Steve, Earl is on the mark.
In addition, Wayne Brown and I talked last June when he was in Chama, but since then I don't think the good folks in Dolores have contacted us. When the Friends were looking for something to do for their June trip, I suggested the possibility of no. 5, but they opted for the "Preservation Explorer" instead.
Reality is that events like bringing the Goose or the Eureka in don't generate a profit commensurate with the effort and expense involved. (Wayne will reasonably want to make some money, there are trucking charges involved, and we need a profit as well.) That doesn't mean we won't do them - but right now, when every penny is needed for track, coaches, and locomotives (not to mention new phone systems, radio repeaters, shop equipment and tools, etc.), anything that doesn't really contribute to the bottom line will have to wait until the money is flowing more freely.
