280 has arrived at the Loop

Coach 280 arrived in Silver Plume around 730am today. I think I can speak for the entire shop crew on how the car looks, and that can be summerized into one word.. GREAT. We were all impressed with the restoration. After doing some brake work on the car we took it down the line to the cut. It was exciting to be the first people to ride on the car in nearly fifty years. I must say it sure does ride much better than converted freight cars. Once again we would like to thank the Boulder County Railroad Historical Society for letting us host the car for the summer of 2001.
