Was exactly why – following Barbara Hogan's sound advice – we chose to celebrate the 40
th Anniversary of the first C&TS train arriving in Chama on the last weekend of August instead of over Labor Day Weekend back in 2010. While next year is not the fiftieth anniversary of the birth of the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad, it IS the Fiftieth Anniversary of the first Regular Passenger Trains on the railroad. (See the '1971' thread started by Greg Scholl at [
ngdiscussion.net] for details.) IMHO, late August 2021 will be a great time to have a GREAT TIME with a variety of special events!
