Except for the scrap trains, as Earl mentioned, the last revenue train was a RMRRC excursion train on Memorial Day weekend, May 30, 1949, to be precise.. As usual, Jimmy Blouch posted the details of this trip a couple of years ago. See below.

Depart Gunnison 9:10 AM with 9 cars (Train sheet does not show car numbers, however appears following cars were used: 126, 306, 280, 284, 312, 323, 320, 319, Silver Vista)
Notation reads:
“Extra 361 west, Rocky Mountain Railroad Club Special stopped at bridge 329 Crystal Creek and passengers detrained to take pictures. Mrs. Anna Love (address and age shown), member of the club went down embankment to get a position to take pictures and in some manner lost balance on rock and rolled into Gunnison River and was drowned. Montrose County authorities notified and have charge of the case. Railroad and club not involved. Witnesses were engineer C Braswell and brakeman Fred Winters and…” (Names of other witnesses and relatives shown) (Not shown on train sheet, there was thought that perhaps she had a heart attack.)
