Guys,
The material we have I suspect is 1949 and 1950. The RGS is mostly a ride on the Goose, and the freights seen had 461 and 452(Mid-Train). I suspect both those engines operated in 49-50, but was trying to nail it down.
The 1949 lines up with 315 cause we see #20 at Silverton later on in movie garb on the set. The next trip shows 473 in Gold and 345 switching in Dgo in the morning, so am thinking it is 1950. Also the guy visited the D&IM RR and that footage precedes the 473 stuff. Since D&IM closed in 1950 it seems to work out. D&IM RR was apparently dual gauge. I had not heard of it until this footage we obtained. Once again trying to piece together the narrow gauge vintage puzzles!!!
Heres a pic showing 487, 485, and yard engine 315 behind them. There is another 315 only pic but the file is too large to post, so this is what you get.
