Does anyone know the exact location of the new DRG line junction west of Carracas constructed 1962 by USBR along the new County Rd 500 (Trujillo Rd) to route the railroad and county road around Navajo Reservoir? Prefer, if possible, gps lat-long coordinates. Or RR MP. Or reference to a landmark visible on Google Earth. Or a detailed map. I have a copy of Earl Knoob's 1993 "Lost in NG Country Mile By Mile Guide Chama to Durango RR". It lists this location as RR MP398.65. When I plot that on GE from Carracas RR MP it does not match the distance east from "Bridge" listed in the guide. That "Bridge" is visible on GE as a short steel span over a gulch.
