Ernie sent me only negatives from 1968 last year — and possibly not even all of those, as there were none from early July when IIRC he was shooting movies and perhaps did not take any stills. SFAIK, all of Ernie's negatives and slides are now in The Friends' collection (see [
ngtrainpics.photoshelter.com]), but given the HUGE number of them it will likely be quite a while before scans of them become available on-line. (IIRC, Ernie once told me that he had 30 tin boxes containing 300 slides each – that's 9,000 color photos, plus who knows how many hundreds of b&w negatives – he sent me more than 1,750 from just 1968!) Ernie and I had talked about me helping him with Volumes 2 & 3 of his intended
'Final Years' books, but I think it's now up to you to help Joe Hereford carry on the series
