Appreciate the listing. I was in the midst of putting together the same type of file so this helped immensely.
I have #461 with RGS Herald and know that puts me closer to 1950/51, but I have a few other engines and think I am going to work with the "what if" scenario.
I have #455 post wreck, #461 Sunset Herald, just acquired #453 and #463 and have #40 (which is really out of sync with the others) and have a few C class locomotives which I am going to bash to give me #346, #319, & #271. I'll probably build #74 from the ground up, so that will be a far off project. I have a line on #464 but not sure if I can go after it right now.
Basement is nearing finish so I can get benchwork up and get trains moving.
I am going to bend a bit of the time and space continuum and shoot for 1947. Means I have to fudge #22 & #74 by a year for each and I will have to be inventive as to why the #40 is still moving although scrapped in '43.
Appreciate the info from all.
A little of what I found - I found pics of #453 on the RGS as early as 1944. #463 ran as far back as 1939 (one pic dated showing it as a helper) #464 as early as '41. I have a few more books to go thru, but thats as far as I got tonight.
