Right you are, Chris. Also, in 1901, the GN acquired the Great Falls & Canada, which ran from Great Falls, Montana north to the Canadian border, where it connected with the Alberta Railway & Coal Co. lines. The GF&C was standard gauged in 1902. .
In Idaho, the NP bought the Coeur d' Alene Railway & Navigation Co. three foot gauge line which ran from a steamer landing on the St. Joe River east to Kellogg, Wallace and Wardner. The eastern-most portion of the line was standard gauged, the rest abandoned.
