Are you gunna fish, or just cut bait?
I sat on the fence for 15 years over the Finding Rail conundrum after I cleaned out the only small Mine railpile within 300 miles, most of that was corroded beyond use after 70 years mouldering in the bush here. All the Flax tramways rail had been acquired by Park railways in this region, Barry Brickell of the Driving Creek Railway fame cleaned up on all the old Coal Mine rail to be had but that was all 20lb.
If I had been able to source new steel back then I'd be so much farther ahead.
