Bill, thanks for posting that video - I had no idea it even existed. Some info about 3101 and its sister, 3100. They were the only Northerns the CP ever owned, whereas the CN had over 200 of them. There are several quotes from men who ran them - basically, they were heartbreakers. They would run perfectly one trip, then fight you all the way the next trip. Both survive; 3101 at Regina Saskatchewan, and 3100 at Ottawa Ontario. Both engines spent most of their lives hauling the overnight passenger trains between Montreal and Toronto.
