I think the probability of a very short C&S narrow gauge freight operating anywhere looks best at the museum. No. 346 is there, and operable. The caboose probably is close to being serviceable, at least it looks as if it might be. Same for the reefer. But the stock car needs a lot of work, even just as a stationary exhibit, let alone to be operable.
I know this is a 'what if' question, but realistically, the cost of getting even the four items mentioned at the museum to be operable at the museum would be high. I can't see taking them off site, given all the costs associated with that. But who knows? I have been wrong before.
