Along this same questioning, I recently watched a Greg Scholl video where Earl was on the 484 helping Tom Atkinson on the 497. They both watered at Cresco. I would imagine the 497 would pull as normal to the tank. How did they work out how and where to spot 484? Did Earl cut his brakes back in and take control of the train? Thanks in advance.
