Okay, Willie -
I agree that Roosso cain't sing (nor yodel) fer beans, but he really did used to play third rub-board with Teresa Russell's Cajun / Zydeco band 'Acadiana', appearing alongside Fiddlin' Phil Salazar (aka Pete Saladbar), crooner & fiddler of the above tribute to Silverton's famous fiddler Cherokee Joe, and an occasional performer hizself in Silverton – and here's proof, unadulterated 'cept fer color correction and a bit of de-dusting
:
Left-to-Right - Teresa Russell,* Rousseau du Lauceaux, Gordo Gorilla (mascot), Phil Salazar, Gregory Salazar,** Rick Borella ***
- El Abuelo Loco, Greengo y Curmudgeoño de los Locomoturas Viejos y Verdes,
aka Der DünkelOlivGrünDampfKesselMantelLiebHabender Grossväterchen
p.s. Other than the above, the only musicians brave enough to allow Rousseau to perform with them - much less vocalize - are our late friend Ed Stabler and his fellow Texan (for a couple of years, at least), Earl Knoob.
* Lead Guitar & vocals, Acadiana; (SFAIK the ONLY lady ever to make it to the finals of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame contest).
** Phil's brother & Violist w/ Madrid (Spain) Symphony Orchestra, playing Rousseau's rub-board.
*** Bass w/ Acadiana & several other Southern California bands.
