At the end of operations of the Chili Line trains were second class mixed trains, one train per day each way. Before that there were daily mixed trains and an every-other-day freight train. The freight would head south three days per week and return north three days per week.
Freight trains from between Alamosa and Chama dropped off and picked up freight for the Chili Line.
