when i still lived in the UK we resided in sugar beet country, it was hell on your tyres when they fell of the truck onto the road, hard as ! like hitting a rock ! NO wonder the sugar was harder to dissolve .

My mother ( who is now 94 ) was an avid collector of those spare sugar packets from cafes, old habits die hard !
they still put two of them on every coffee I get , of course they can't reuse them , i wonder how many billion of them a year are dumped in landfill !
