Brent, it didn't.. It would appear that someone removed the Harrington semaphore that was on the section house at the time that the states bought the railroad and replaced it with that thing that was never hooked up. When Bob Conry replaced the pole last summer (2016), our team was hard at work on a replacement with a Harrington unit. Since we couldn't find an original, Roy Lloyd took it on himself to fabricate a recreation of the original. Not only that he built a light box that we electrified with LEDs which we ran to a solar system we installed for the building. Roy and Wayne installed the new semaphore on Bobs pole and then they hooked up control cables that run into the section house so the flags can be raised and lowered. Now if you go by the section house at night between 4:30 and 11:00PM you will see either a green or red signal depending on how the flags are set.
