The Navy purchased 4 passenger cars from East Broad Top, and one combine from the scrapper of the Pacific Coast Railway.

In Hawaii the cars were numbered 1-5, with No 1 being Pacific Coast Ry no 106 (Carter, 1887, generally listed as scrapped), No 2 being EBT 12, ex Au Sable & Northwestern, No 3 one likely EBT 11, ex BRB&L, No 4 & 5 being ex EBT 21 & 22.
