Was there any kind of freight car interchange between the islands? Did OR&L have a car float operation somewhere? Also, I've read that the Navy purchased quite a few freight and passenger cars for operation on Oahu during the war. I've seen photos of the Navy and Army box cars in OR&L trains but wondered about the passenger cars. Were these also used on the OR&L trains or were they for operation at the base?
